Have Your Plumber Give You A Written Estimate

Prior to the work beginning, it is always best to get a written estimate.

This will not only give you peace of mind, but it will make sure that you and the plumber are on the same page

Make sure your written estimate not only includes the cost of the plumbing job but a timeline for completion.

You want to make sure your job is completed when promised, don't pay the plumber until the job is complete. Plumbers can often find themselves bogged down with work and you don't want your job to get lost in the shuffle.

An experienced plumber can tell you what replacement parts are recommended and your options in parts, fixtures, appliances and repairs. This could be very important if your water heater or other large item is being replaced.

If this isn't an emergency, ask for references. Satisfied customers are usually happy to recommend a company who has done a good job for them.
